Cockington Village and Country Park has to be one of the most picturesque settings across the whole of the English Riviera and it’s the perfect place for a summer stroll. With a large number of walking trails and paths weaving through the beautiful country park and historic village to suit all ages and abilities, all the family can enjoy a day out.
Cockington has everything that you would expect in a historic English village with charming thatched cottages, a water mill, 450-acre country park estate with a Gamekeepers cottage and grand manor house, cricket ground and mediaeval lakes and water meadows. On the edge of Torquay, this is a popular choice with dog walkers and families.
You can enjoy the cosy old library and drawing room and the dog-friendly, The Seven Dials Café, in the historic Cockington Court. The Drum Inn, a Lutyens designed country pub in the heart of the village oozes plenty of rustic, charm with open roaring fires and serves hearty meals and seasonal dishes.
